Q: The cruise concludes in Montreal.
How can I get back to Boston?
A: Currently Greyhound Bus Line operates one or two departures
each day between Montreal and Boston. The cost is approximately
$75. However if there is sufficient interest, we will organize
a private charter bus just for FinnFest participants to return
Q: What is the cost
of parking my car in Boston while we're away?
A: Currently Massport, the authority providing the cruise
ship pier in Boston, offers parking for $20 per car per day.
There may be other parking opportunities elsewhere in Boston
that do not charge as much.
Q: I'm a single traveler.
Will you match me with another single traveler?
A: We'll keep a list of participants who wish to be matched
to share a stateroom on the ship. We'll provide you with the
names and contact information for those on the list. It will
be up to you to contact those names on the list and determine
if he or she would be a suitable roommate.

Q: What kind
of weather can we expect along the way?
A: In July Boston's average daily temperatures are about
80o (27 o Celsius). As we cruise north into Maine and on into
Canada, average daily temperatures drop to about 75o (24 o Celsius)
in Maine, Nova Scotia and Quebec. Expect 10-13 days each month
with measurable rainfall.
Q: Is the cruise dressy?
A: No. During the daytime, dress is casual. Jeans, shorts
etc. are just fine. In the evenings casual attire is just fine
on most evenings however shorts, ragged jeans etc. are not allowed
in the dining room. There will be at least one 'gala' evening
in the dining room during our cruise when a 5-course gourmet
dinner will be served. On this evening, ladies will wear dresses,
skirts or slacks. Gentlemen typically wear a jacket, slacks
and (optional) tie. However a nice collared shirt and slacks
is sufficient. Alternative restaurants are available on many
evenings if you want to be very casual along with room service.
Q: What about
evening dining for FinnFest participants?
A: Two dining times are open for us: 5:45 pm and 8:00
pm. We plan to set aside specific tables for FinnFest participants
which will be designated by a Finnish flag on the table. FinnFest
participants can sit at any of these pre-designated tables at
their elected dining time.
Q: Will I need a passport?
A: Yes. Nationalities of certain countries other than
Canada or the USA may need a visa as well. See Cruise Masters/Concierge

A: Yes, this is a great cruise for kids. Holland America
will offer certain children's programs . Many staterooms accommodate
up to four persons and there are reduced rates for more than
2 guests in a stateroom. Contact Cruise Masters/Concierge Travel
